I am doing my own crafts here and there and I understand why crafted items are expensive, because person have spent their time and energy to come up with the concept, search for the materials, never ending need for new tools and then to create it. The quality of hand crafter wreaths are non-questionable, unlike mass manufactured ones.
I always admire people with such a talented minds and hands! It’s amazing. I think the prices are more then generous of these wreaths you are talking about. Here in Europe they cost much more than that.
I really appreciate this article. Thank you so much for sharing this great review with us. I love Wreath Boards a lot. Wreath Boards are very nice and different. A few days after my baby’s birthday I want to decorate my nest with a Wreath Boards but this is not possible to made in such a short time. So I would buy a Wreath Boards from Unique in the Creek. I hope the floral boards will be good and nice.
I will share this article on social media. I think others will benefit too.
Thank you for sharing. Unique in the Creek and the Wreath Boards are really taking off in the states. I hope they become available in other stores besides Michael’s soon. It’s a great product, easy to use.
I’m glad you like them. They really make it easier to build a wreath. I’m not that good at it, but if you check them out on Facebook you will see some beautiful works of art.
The weather in Washington is up and down. Some days it is warm, and on another day it is cold. I gave this skill a try but never had any interest in truly learning how to get the art done. I’m sure the Amigurum techniques must be exciting to others that love to Crochet.
I miss the temperate weather of Western Washington. After moving to the midwest after living there for 35 years. I learned to appreciate the changes in the seasons.
Just sitting and watching TV is difficult for me. In the evenings, I like to sit in my recliner and either cross stitch or crochet. When I’m idle, I feel guilty for not doing something productive. LOL!
Thank you, I have always admired the crocheted stuffed animals that people make. Once I started looking into it I found out that it was called Amigurumi. I hope your mom likes the post.
Thank you for sharing all about Amigurumi crochet techniques. We learn new things everyday right? I have always adored Amigurumi toys in shops but never knew they were called Amigurumi crochet toys. Before I started having children, I was so keen to learn about crocheting and I wanted to knit little bonnets for my kids, however I have not been able to learn and it is a skill that I will really love to. Your explanation is very clear and I’m glad that there are patterns that can be purchased to help create Amigurumi dolls and toys. I’ll be honest, crocheting is a lifelong skill and it is one I will love to learn about. I will be bookmarking your page for future reference.
I’m glad you got something out of my post. I enjoy crocheting in the evenings after dinner while watching TV. It’s a way for me to decompress after a long day at work.
Your post of Crochet Amigurumi Unicorn look so cute, and I really like those. And I also really like to read your story start from your sharing about the weather and how your feel of missing your walking partner. As I read through it, I can feel the feeling inside and feel sad. However, you know how to live your life useful, meaningful, and wonderful for your self as well as others. Honestly, I feel so weak right now. But when I started read your post, I feel like I get a new strength to live and I still have chance to try doing new things. I love dolls and all the staff you made, but I never try to do it myself before. I can feel that the way you love doing it through the picture you show, it makes me feel happy and warm. Thank you so much for this post and if I have a chance, I will do it myself or might buy it from you. Oh and I have my niece, I 100% sure that she will likes this. I like Amigurumi. I will contact you when it closes to my niece’s birthday and want to buy for her one. Keep it up and I really appreciate your work.
I’m so glad you like the little unicorn. I think it’s adorable and I’ve almost got my first one done. It would be easy to just sit and work on my crafting stuff all day long if I could. I had to make myself a rule to get my work done during the day and only craft in the evenings. If time allows, I will be making a few of them in different color schemes.
hello, it is a great and nice feeling to know that someone will create a great website like this and also create a write up on an article like this. i am only just getting familiar with amigurumi crochet techniques unlike my sister who is so engulfed with it. you article has lifted my interest. thank you
Yes, I found the history quite interesting as well. I also found that ancient sailors apparently worked the knots in their spare time. I guess because most of them didn’t know how to read. Anyway, in their travels, they spread their artworks to China where much of the most beautiful work comes from today.
Hi there and thanks for this amazing information.
My mum used to make macrame owls and I’ve always wanted to learn how to do it so I can make one for her as a surprise, and a reminder of our past.
I’ll be bookmarking your site for sure!
Thank you so much. I like working on these. I have a lot of ideas as to what I want to make in the future. It’s just finding the time to get it all done.
I’m glad I was able to help. Right now I’m at a standstill. I ran out of yarn and they are sending more. It should be here the next week. This project has been a challenge, but I’ve been enjoying watching it take shape.
Well! For learners like me who have little go no idea on how crocheting works would never know there are different crotchetting patterns and hooks to achieve each. Well! This is great and I sure would be making all the efforts to ensure success is attained in this. Thank you so much for sharing here
Hi! Thank you very much for helping me make up my mind. I appreciate you have detailed everything. One of the things people has been sharing is Comfortable Grips. I have a special condition in my hand that doesn’t allow me to serve in the military service. But I’m eager to try this grip.
I’m so glad I could help. I found that by switching up to the gooks that have the ergonomic grip already on them made such a huge difference. Before I had a huge indent in my palm from trying to grip the hook. Now I can croche for several hours without any significant problems.
Ever since I was young, my mum always did so much crocheting but I never gave interest to it until I had a mild accident that kept me home for a week. I felt bored and needed to do something and this is where crocheting came in. I find it very fascinating though that there are so many hooks like this and many of them are specific to some patterns. I am still in my learning stage but it’s a pretty good thing to be able to learn so much as this. Thank you for sharing.
Many thanks to the website that created the website first. It was great to see that the website templates and using the picture were arranged so beautifully. I remember a lot of information because it describes a lot about Crochet Hooks and Styles, thank you very much because I had never found such information in an article before. After reading this article I think Comfort Grips Hooks is perfect for me. Finally, again say to you, I really like this article, I must say that this article is very helpful and informative. I want to share this article on my social media and I think if I share your article on my social media everyone will know about it 😊
The post is very interesting. Thank you so much for sharing this different article with us. I enjoyed your post.I like croquet. Your tips will be of benefit to me. I think, for different croquet styles, all the croquet hooks would be right for me.I will share this interesting post with my social media. I hope others enjoy the post.
Thank you and I’m glad you found the article interesting. I enjoy crocheting and hope that the people you share it with are able to take away some helpful information.
These are some great ideas! Great, creative post. Loving the idea for seed starters. I’m trying to find easy ways to start a balcony garden and these are a cheap way to start seeds indoors before putting them into a larger planter. Whenever I can get to the store and buy some seeds after all this is over, of course.
Stay home, stay safe!
I know right? I’m going to have to start my seeds this way from now on. Now if the weather ever changes it would be nice to get outside. It kept trying to snow yesterday and that was just not a thing for me. I need to get outside and get my vitamin D!

I really like this site, it’s just right for my little one’s at home. I am actually going to order some of these items from our favourite store and see if we can produce the same results. The rabbits look great, as do the lava lamps and the foam stuff is a must.
My only small issue is the spacing between the items is a little large but its nothing to worry about. Well done, great job.
Thank you, I had a good time finding these items so that I could provide links. I don’t have any kiddos of my own at home but thought during this time people might be looking for things for them to do.
This post comes just at the right timing. Due to the pandemic, my 3-year-old niece has got so bored staying at home. I have to think of creative ways to entertain her… so that she doesn’t keep watching TV and use digital devices too much. Kazoo is so cute, it properly can keep her busy for an hour or two, perhaps we can create different characters with a story. Lava lamp is also interesting, I am sure she will be amazed. Moon sand is good too, she can create sandcastle of her own, kids always like to play with the sand… Thanks for the great ideas, I will share it to my friends too.
Greetings! I would say you nailed it with providing valuable content! My sister is a huge arts and crafts person…with lots of Grand-babies…I am going to pass this article on to here…I know she is going to love having some fun activities to do with the little ones. Such excellent ideas, and you provided so many different choices!
I hope your sister has fun with the grandkids. I thought some of this stuff would be fun for adults as well. LOL! After all, we’re all kids at heart right?
These are excellent ideas! I am sure that no kid is enjoying being stuck inside so much during this time, but my two boys are chomping at the bits to do something, and I really do not like the idea of them playing video games or watching tv all day! Except the slime, I would much rather them play video games than slime, it get everywhere! 🙂 Some of these I kind of want to do myself, like the homemade lava lamp! I appreciate the ideas!
I’m glad you will be able to use some of these ideas. I can understand how the kids are probably getting stir crazy. For our rural area, the weather hasn’t been much help either. Hopefully, it will change soon.
Wow! At a time like this every parent would be happy to see this post. This is not one of your run of the mil craft idea posts.
The creativity with these 13 easy kid craft ideas is amazing. I am so impressed I just have to post this to my Facebook page. I can’t wait to get started on something with my son. I will let him look and decide what he would like to to. My guess is he will want to make the homemade bouncy ball first.
I agree with the bouncy ball looking like fun. Especially if you have some of that glitter glue they talk about. Let me know which one he liked the best.
I found the ideas you share in this post very great, and more so in these days where it is difficult to have our children busy with different things than video games or tablets. I think that today we will start and later I will share with you which ones my children liked the most.
A beautiful and joyfully article, which reminds me of my childhood and that of my son, as well. All the craft you choose are easy to make and offer a lot of entertainment, creativity and especially time spent with children, which is invaluable. Some of them like Sock Bunny, Lava Lamp and Firefly Glow Jar I did them with my son.
I will always recommend this craft instead of using the tablet or Tv.
Thank you very much for sharing. You did a great job.
Thank you for your kind comments. I tried to use projects that everyone would like as well as make it a wide variety. I could have probably gone on to add 100 more, but who wants to sit and look at the pictures when they can be creating, right?
Thanks so much for sharing a beautiful, informative article with us. The principal element of this article is Craft With The Cricut Cutting Machine – Some Pros & Cons. All machines come with access to free and easy to learn software called Design Space.
I will definitely be reaching out to your article among my friends and recommend purchasing their cricut cutting machine and will definitely share with you their new experience. Can I share your article on my social media?
Thank you so much for sharing such an informative article among us. I appreciated this post very much. Here you have discussed in detail about Craft With The Cricut Cutting Machine. Currently, the use of the Cutting Machine is increasing day by day. Now People are choosing the Cutting Machine. In my opinion, This is better than any other option. I think this Cutting Machine is perfect for the Craft. People can easily operate the Cutting Machine due to quick responses. I’m so impressed. Thanks for presenting beautifully. I think this article is useful for everyone. Lastly, I would like to share this post on my social media so everyone can know about Craft With The Cricut Cutting Machine. Thanks
Thank you for sharing. I think I would like to get one for myself. I have friends that have worked with them and just love them. I like the fact that they can cut so many other things than just paper as I have no interest in scrapbooking.
I know absolutely NOTHING about crochet work (I’m a simple cross stitch fan myself lol) – but I think your Afghan turned out absolutely beautiful! I would totally curl up in my favorite chair with it and a good book! Keep on making magic my friend!
Thanks Kelly. I enjoy cross stitch as well. The last project took me 6 months to complete. I found a Bev Doolittle that was made into a cross-stitch that will be my next project. It will be a project and a half when I get to it.
Wow, your explanation is very well done. I have to confess that I have not seen anyone explain so well how to do the mosaic crochet chart. First heard about this from my mum but she said it was one of the hardest. It doesn’t look so hard toe from your explanation here though. You seem to know so much about it here. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks, I found it to be easier once you understand how to read the charts. I tried to do it the traditional way by reading the directions but was constantly losing my place and getting confused. By looking at the chart you can count how many sc are needed before you place an ldc.
I learned to crochet when I was around 9 years old by looking in a mirror as I was extremely left-handed and it worked but I never really kept it up and with winter coming soon here in New Zealand I decided to do some research and arrived here to find this really great pattern and explanation on how to achieve this type of pattern.
Now I know for a fact mine is not going to worthy of a show cabinet but I am hoping I could maybe gift my work when its completed so wish me luck and thank you so much for sharing such wonderful helpful information.
I am a very visual learner and this is so easy to understand- Awesome. I am going to be so clever any day now – lol
I too am left-handed. But luckily not with everything. I was able to learn how to crochet with my right hand, but I use my left to yarn over. I think this way it’s keeping my left hand busy so that it doesn’t get involved with the right hand and get in the way. LOL! It’s also a way for me to keep my tension because I have a heck of a time looping the yarn over my left fingers.
Good luck and I hope you find crochet enjoyable again.

I love the Gnome Topper. I will definitely be putting this on my to-do list.
I tend to put things away and forget about them too. I think it is common for crafts.
I think it’s really cool this is a therapy in addition to being a work of art.
I am doing my own crafts here and there and I understand why crafted items are expensive, because person have spent their time and energy to come up with the concept, search for the materials, never ending need for new tools and then to create it. This is a very attractive page. I’m not personally into crochet, but my mother is and my daughter has a thing for unicorns.
I’ve never heard of Amigurumi before, and I totally enjoyed your history section.
I’m going to send my mother this think.
I like quality of images here and then image versus text ratio.
Thanks

Wonderful work! You have some great pieces shown here.

Macrame that is well done is really a work of art. I loved the imagery and information. Thank you for a great post

Thank you for sharing. I think I would like to get one for myself. I have friends that have worked with them and just love them. I like the fact that they can cut so many other things than just paper as I have no interest in scrapbooking.

Hey Carrie!

Now get sewing those ends 🙂
I too am left-handed. But luckily not with everything. I was able to learn how to crochet with my right hand, but I use my left to yarn over. I think this way it’s keeping my left hand busy so that it doesn’t get involved with the right hand and get in the way. LOL! It’s also a way for me to keep my tension because I have a heck of a time looping the yarn over my left fingers.
Good luck and I hope you find crochet enjoyable again.
